Shane has done wonders to help me with running which was very overwhelming to me as a beginner. He instilled confidence in my ability from the beginning.
“Shane has done wonders to help me with running which was very overwhelming to me as a beginner. He instilled confidence in my ability from the beginning. He was extremely patient and thorough in answering all of my questions about what to eat, how to hydrate, and which strength and mobility exercises I could do to help prevent injuries. He helped me choose a training plan that I was comfortable with and helped me make adjustments when I had some injuries and illness while always keeping a positive attitude. That really helped me overcome both physical and mental obstacles. I’m happy to say I just did my first half marathon in San Francisco. I’m working towards my goal of doing a full marathon and a 50k. I never would have thought that possible for myself. Shane truly gave me great structure, balance, and advice that helped me succeed. I have greatly benefited from his high-quality abilities as a coach. “

Longest run in the books in well over a year today 💪🏻
Longest run in the books in well over a year today 💪🏻 I signed up for a January (Virtual) Run Club because 1. What else do you do in Chicago in January and 2. It’s fun to set new and short fitness goals to keep things fresh and to keep from getting bored. 3. Running in the snow makes you feel like a badass I can’t recommend @bird_coach enough. Next month I’ve signed up for an Accountability Club because Chicago February’s suck and I know I’ll need a little extra push.

"I love the chance to be a part of a bigger run community."
I love the chance to be a part of a bigger run community. I’ve never felt comfortable joining a run group (especially now during a pandemic and social distancing). bRUNch Running brings camaraderie and accountability in a no judgement setting. I am so appreciative of this group and all it has to bring (extra bonus for being Colorado/Denver/FoCo based and feeling connected close to home).

Client of Jose's
I honestly thought I had a pretty good idea of what I needed to do to reach my goals, but over the course of a couple of years, I didn’t see much improvement. I started working with Jose in January and saw changes really quickly.
“I had experimented with a lot of different training plans. I honestly thought I had a pretty good idea of what I needed to do to reach my goals, but over the course of a couple of years, I didn’t see much improvement. I started working with Jose in January and saw changes really quickly. He had me doing workouts that I never would have thought of. In April, I PR’d the 5k and 10k. In May, I PR’d the half marathon. In August, I ran an 8-hour timed ultra and PR’d the marathon and the 50k, all in the same race. The following year, we did a different types of training together and were successful again. I ran a series of seven 50k races where each person’s five fastest race times were added together. Competing against both men and women, I came away with the overall win. This year, Jose is doing another very different type of training for me as we work toward my first 100-mile race. What I’m trying to say here is that he is a versatile coach. Definitely not one note! He can truly individualize your training plan.”
