The Faster Half training team will build your aerobic base as well as your ability to sustain hard work (which will really help you in the last few miles of the race!). Each week will include speed work, cross training, and a long run. You'll also do a benchmark workouts every 5 weeks to measure your progress and set pace goals for the race.

The Faster Half team includes:
A 12 week training program of 4-6 workouts per week, including easy runs, speed work, long runs, and cross training.
Texts from your certified running coach Shane Williams 3 times a week for questions, support, and accountability.
A group chat in the Bird app with your coach and other participants to discuss training and cheer each other on.
Coach office hours twice a month to ask questions and prepare for what's ahead

Who is this plan for?
Intermediate and advanced runners who are looking to increase their endurance and speed. You should be able to run or run/walk 5 miles comfortably (even if it's slow!) at the start of the plan. We will be increasing mileage slowly to build volume while avoiding injury.
